+SnS
Looks like I'm going to crossover/upgrade from my Magellan Platinum to a 60Csx. Does anybody use the 60Csx on a dual sport motorcycle? The vibrations can get pretty severe at times while trail riding. The Magellan would sometimes cut out even though it was hot wired. Quote Link to comment

I used to ride dual sport and tried something similar with an HID flashlight, which was not meant to be handle bar mounted. Nevertheless, I understand the vibration issues of a dual sport. I own a 60csx, but don't own my old KTM anymore, however, I've been reading about my 60csx. I've read about the maps 'freezing'. This is an isse with the microSD card coming loose (out of contact) under normal use. I would assume this would likely occur under high vibration. The fix was to cut a sponge and place it between the batteries and the card. I would like to recommend calling the Tempurpedic mattress advertisement and getting a free sample of that material or going to an RC hobby store. Good luck, Marco Quote Link to comment
+CiscoHiker
I have taken my 60CSx on some bumpy roads here in Mexico and sometimes its done fine and other times the SD card has come loose. Quote Link to comment
greenfield1
I purchased my 60csx primarily to map trails when ATVing. it's taken a real pounding, and so far, so good Quote Link to comment
+Jake2687
I am planning on upgrading to a 60csx also. I would like to use it while riding my dual sport (KLR650). I'm glad to here it can stand the vibes. Jeff Quote Link to comment

+SnS
Thanks for the replies. The card coming loose seems like a reasonably easy thing to deal with. JAKE-2786.... I think we have met on another forum. Hopefully we can get together for some riding one of these days. Scott aka Boatman Quote Link to comment
