daytribe
With 98 caches found we will shortly be looking for our 100th. Can anyone recommend a "special" cache, somewhere in the Highlands of Scotland. Or within 100 miles of Inverness. Quote Link to comment
Pharisee
How about Scotland's First. It 2,500 feet up Ben More. Quote Link to comment
daytribe
That's a great suggestion. Thanks. Any others? Quote Link to comment
Flyfishermanbob
I'd guess most opinions are biased by the weather ; conditions;view....etc..... undoubtedly Ben Nevis is a great challenge, try this one ...... Glencoe not too hard, but..... Never to be forgotten...... Quote Link to comment
Firth of Forth
Scotland's First is definitely a good one for a milestone (did my 300th there) but I can also recommend 10th and 3rd at the top of Ben Lawers and also Centre of Scotland at the top of Schiehallion. Both of these also have a low level cache to nab nearby - The Old Village of Lawers on the North shore of Loch Tay, for example, is a wonderful place. +Haggis Hunter
Waterfall and Ruin is a worthwhile cache to do. Or you could travel to Cairngorm as it has two on it. Quote Link to comment
Firth of Forth
Or indeed, you could try Ben Vrackie, which also has two other caches on the way up to the top.....and if you go on Wednesday, I'll see you there! Quote Link to comment
Firth of Forth
Or.....if the weather isn't promising...you could try some lower level gorges, such as: Built for Burns? and Urlar Road, though I realise that these aren't quite in the Highlands. Lovely walks though....I could go on at length about the wonderful gorge walks in Scotland that I have discovered through geocaching. Quote Link to comment
