O-rings For Bison Capsules

The o-rings in most of my bison capsules have not fared well this winter. I'd like to get some replacement o-rings at a hardware store, but what size do I need? I'd like o-rings for both the regular capsules and scuba tanks.

I don't recall the size. I just brought my Bison capsule to the hardware store and tried a few on until I found one that fit.

Check with your local Scuba store -- they will likely have a few that will fit!

They will be a lot cheaper at the hardware store.

The size that will fit the regular Bison capsule is listed as "7/16 x 5/16 x 1/16 #6 O-ring" Danco stock no. 35723B. Ace Hardware has them, but on the very expensive side.

 

Check a local Mom-n-Pop hardware store. It's been my experience those have the greater assortment of oddball stuff. They'll probably have them loose for a few pennies a piece.

Not sure of your definition of expensive. I buy a variety of o-rings at Ace and they vary between .39 and .59 each. They usually have every size I need. BTW did you mean 7/17 or 7/16??
