+pater47
Anybody else got a bad feeling that was a geocache they just blew up in NW Chicago with the WGN news crew onsite? Latest I've heard is they're saying "well, it wasn't a bomb" but they haven't said what it was yet. Link to comment
Mr. TSP
My thoughts too. I did a quick search of the address and used the coords to see what caches were nearby. These two came up as the closest: GC23FA North Branch Cache GCQ2DR BuzzzzzOff! But, I'm not from the area and am not familiar with these caches. Both are about 0.6 miles from the address of the house fire. Link to comment

Neither are close to any houses, they are in a wooded area. Link to comment
+cachew nut
It wasn't a cache or a bomb. It was a capped pipe, but the bomb squad is not leaving without blowing something up. Link to comment

Here is a link to the news story. Not much to it: Link Link to comment
+pater47
Glad to hear it was a false alarm on both accounts. Closing the topic before it goes off course. Link to comment
