Does anyone know how to show an image on the actual cache page kinda like this - (Link) http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...8a-5c6e78f4fa28

You need to use HTML in your cache description with this code:

 

<img src="URL of picture">

 

That image's location is:

 

<img src="http://img.Groundspeak.com/cache/4a963e5c-6356-4ec4-a734-4ba6d73cd11f.jpg">

 

I got that location by right-clicking on the image and copying the image location to my "clipboard" and then "pasting" it using the keyboard shortcut, CTRL-V.

Umm... Well... I can never remember how to do that, so I go into the source code, (In this instance: < img src = "http://img.Groundspeak.com / cache/4a963e5c-6356-4ec4-a734-4ba6d73cd11f.jpg">) (A few spaces added to show the source code, and not the picture, I hope)

Then I copy that into my page, upload a picture of mine onto my page, click on my pciture, and replace the url with the url for my picture...

It's probably be easier to write the code down, but I'm too dumb to do that...

Here's the url (http://img.Groundspeak.com/cache/ab7a6f50-73d1-43c5-97dd-c138069d64a8.jpg), for instance, for the picture on this cache page: Weehawken View.

Have you uploaded the image somewhere and copied its URL?

 

Have you checked the box on the cache page that you are using HTML?

Right below the "Details" on the Online Form.

 

Just check that box, but then remember you need to use HTML for the rest of the description as well.

Looks good for your first cache page.

 

One tip that will make the text look better, add <br> here <img src="http://img.Groundspeak.com/cache/c3c4a198-c127-474a-b6de-6b7f9fdcc9b6.jpg"><br>. This way the text is beneath the image, not right next to it.
