Garmin Announces New Units

Recommended Posts

I better start saving up!

Sounds great.

I have a GPSmap 60cs already and a small bluetooth GPSr with a SIRF III chipset.

Whilst I can't fault the build quality and features of the GPS60cs, its lock onto the satellites under tree cover is quite appalling for such a top line unit.

;)

Meanwhile the GPSr unit with the SIRF III chipset maintains a lock inside buildings, in the glove box of my car (no not at the same time...but thinking about it, it might well). :)

The ability to store even more map data on a mini SD card would also be great.

Their spec listing ends with this:

'You won’t miss a thing when you take this rugged, lightweight, easy-to-use handheld out hiking, biking, boating or even geocaching.'

"Even geocaching"??

I don't know whether to be pleased it got a mention, or upset at the way it was mentioned.

It even has an icon :laughing:ic-GeocachingBadge.gif
