Team_LPD
You have to make sure your computer is looking for the port your GPS is connected to. Quote Link to comment
El Diablo
Whenyou bought your serial to usb did you install the drivers that came with it? El Diablo Quote Link to comment
Timpat
Just something to look at, but perhaps another device is using your com port. I have a Legend that uses only a Serial connection first of all, and if I have hotsync'd using my Palm IIIxe I have to manually close the com port it used. Quote Link to comment
New England n00b
How many free physical serial (COM) ports do you have? If only ONE: 1) If you have a Palm Pilot type device on the serial, temporarily disable HotSync while trying to access to the GPS 2) Make sure you have your software looking at the right COM port 3) Make sure that the free COM port is not being shared by a modem. Dial up modems 'take away' a COM port from your system, even though they don't use the physical connector. Quote Link to comment
Les Nomades
Don't know if you did but try reinstalling the driver that is on your CD just as if you were making a new installation. Quote Link to comment
wiseye
I had the same problem, had to uninstall and reinstall the drivers. Quote Link to comment
sawdust
You might want to check and see if the GPS has been changed to some other data format other than Garmin. Turn on unit, select and go to the main menu, select and go to setup, select and go to interface, make sure it is on "Garmin" If not change to it. This might help. Sawdust Quote Link to comment
