GOT GPS?
So are you Getting a GPS, or Giving a GPS this christmas 2005 season, or just buying one for yourself ?? - - - - - - - - - - - - In my case, I bought the Garmin Forerunner 301 GPS for somebody, and Garmin TOPO for myself, to go with my City Select Vers. 7 already installed. - <$199 @ REI store>- - As far as the ForeRunner GPS is concerned, the person does not know about it, but is an avid Runner big time, and did a couple marathons in the past(Detroit area). OTHER(non GPS): Im giving a HP all-in-one printer, and a Cuisinart coffee maker. Edited December 23, 2005 by GOT GPS? Quote Link to comment
Timpat
You bet! I'm buying myself a Garmin Map 60CX for Christmas, although it may be a belated gift! I guess I have to wait till they are formally announced...darn. Already got permission from my wife, hehehe. Looks like Christmas in Feb! I did order myself the Garmin GA25MCX antenna, and bought a friend a Trimble Pocket Antenna Cap. You should see my Santa wish list though! Hey, Merry Christmas to All! Quote Link to comment
Cymbaline
While I'd love to get a 60CSX, I can't justify it. My 60CS is working fine. It's not a GPS, but I *am* shopping around for a Uniden BCD396T. Still too pricey for my tastes, but I'm hoping one can be had for $300 in the next 8 months or so. Quote Link to comment
docdigit
Getting the Magellan eXplorist 600 this Christmas (is it bad to know ALL your gifts ahead of time?) Comes with case, 512 SD card and Streets. Doc Quote Link to comment
Sputnik 57
I got my directionally challenged daughter a Garmin Quest. Her ex-amry husband may drag her out with it to try some caching. Quote Link to comment
leatherman
I helped my girlfriends mother choose a 76CS for her husband. Rather I told her what to get. He sea kayaks and canoes during the summer. I suggested a floating unit. spell.. Edited December 24, 2005 by leatherman Quote Link to comment
DaDawg
I am giving my wife a 60C for Christmas. I am hoping that she will be excited about Geocaching...she has never mentioned it, but she does enjoy hiking. Felt real fortunate to get the $249 price at Amazon. The current price is $329. Happy Holidays to all on this forum....This site has made my research for this purchase so easy. Quote Link to comment
Jhwk
I got the latest software for my eX600, and it worked! FINALLY! Quote Link to comment
forman
Not sure if it was a good idea or not, but I ordered a Magellan eXplorist XL. I hope it works well and I can see/read the screen, it is big enough. I have a Magellan Platinum and have a hard time seeing the screen. Don Quote Link to comment

fratermus
I asked for MetroGuide v6 (because it's getting cheap out there). Got v7 instead. Nice upgrade, but I don't have a DVD drive yet. Good excuse to get one. Yay! Quote Link to comment
