+Puddle Jumpers
I really get lost on some of the abbreviations that are being used, is there a place that one goes to that has a list of what they mean. I've figured a lot out but am still lost on some. ex: FTF = First to find TN/LN = Took nothing Left nothing ex: SBCP = totally lost on this one. I'm sure the newbies are even more lost then I am at times. Would appreciate any help on where to find the abbreviations. Thanks, Puddle Jumpers Quote Link to comment
Keystone
Hello! Yes, it's a challenge to get up to speed on the lingo used in geocaching. There are at least three glossaries of geocaching acronyms and terms. The best is Prime Suspect's GeoLex. Links to all of them are found in this post to the FAQ thread over in the Getting Started Forum. Since this question doesn't request a site feature that isn't already there, I'm moving your thread to the Getting Started Forum. Quote Link to comment
+Puddle Jumpers
Thanks Keystone, checked out all the links and found some good info - I'm sure it will help out a lot of newbies. Quote Link to comment
+Sputnik 57
ex: SBCP = totally lost on this one Should be cache pen? Slough business community partnerships ? Small Business Consulting Program? Silly Bunch of Caching People? Since the abreviation question is asked almost daily, I would if the post Keystone pointed to should be pinned as a separte thread entitled "Abreviations Defined Here"? Quote Link to comment
+Puddle Jumpers
I really like Silly Bunch of Caching People myself, as it sure does describe us Puddle Jumpers. Went to San Diego, Calif and what did we do more of - playing in the ocean or Geocaching - now wasn't that a silly question - Geocaching of course. Quote Link to comment
+Airmapper
I gotta know, does Puddle Jumpers reference the small spaceship on a popular TV show? I guess I'm just being one of the SBCP Quote Link to comment

+Prime Suspect
ex: SBCP = totally lost on this one. The context would help. What cache is this from? Quote Link to comment
+Cornix
Seems like SBCP (SpongeBob CachePants) is the name of a cacher. Take a look at the caches he has hidden. Cornix Quote Link to comment

+Puddle Jumpers
I gotta know, does Puddle Jumpers reference the small spaceship on a popular TV show? I guess I'm just being one of the SBCP Airmapper, it's in reference to the car I drive, believe me when I go from my truck to it I feel like it could get lost in puddles so I try to jump 'em - if it only had wings! +Puddle Jumpers
I think Cornix has got the right answer it does make sense, but can we add a new one to the list. Silly Bunch of Caching People. Quote Link to comment
