+Team Maccabee
I am planning out my first cache, and I would like to have an off-site FTF prize, where the FTF person has to go to another set of coordinates and find the FTF prize, or (evil version) have to figure out a puzzle for the coordinates of their FTF prize. Has anyone ever done this? I'ld like some ideas of what others have done. Team Maccabee Quote Link to comment
+Moose Mob
Yep - seen it a few times. Sometimes it's because the prize is too big to fit in the container, and also it is typicaly close to the cache. And I usually see the coordinates are on the back of the FTF certificate. +Muddler
Yep! Both of the caches I have hidden had a special FTF prize. It has met with great success I have had really good replys from the FTFers. I will do all of my future hides with a special FTF prize hidden in an offsite location. Quote Link to comment
+Thrak
I haven't found one like that or done one like it either but my neighbor has. He found a FTF prize of a new spinning reel and it had coordinates for the special extra FTF cache consisting of the matching fishing rod to go with the reel. Quote Link to comment
Zoptrop
I've seen one with a "post card" you mail to the owner and he/she would send a package back to you with an MP3 player or some equally neat thing. But haven't seen the "re-director" type of FTF method. BTW - does anyone "label" their FTF prizes? I put some in mine, but didn't label them as being specifically FTF. I figured the person was free to choose anything they wanted, but one FTF'er mentioned that he wanted the multi-tool but didn't have anything nice enough to trade. I just assumed he'd have taken it as a prize but didn't. Quote Link to comment
+Harry Dolphin
In twenty-some-odd FTFs, I found one with a clearly labelled "FTF PRIZE". Otherwise, I just glom whatever I like. The microcaches inside are usually listed as free for anyone who will use them. Got an FTF in the woods by the mall. There was a bicycle parked nearby. I asked it that were my FTF prize, but got no reply. Oh, well. I left the bike. Quote Link to comment
+maylith
With my first cache, a micro, I included a FTF certificate I printed. On it were directions to call my cell phone for the prize. When the FTF person called I took down name and address and mailed them a gift certificate to my favorite restaraunt. They were very appreciative. Quote Link to comment

Team Maccabee I've done that a few times where the FTF prize, in these cases a new BFL, was too large to fit in the cache container. I've also once left a FTF coupon that required the finder to contact me to recieve the prize. Quote Link to comment
+Husker
It's funny you should mention this. Until yesterday, I hadn't seen one like this. However, I found two yesterday that had secondary caches with a code. You send the code to the owner and he sets you up with the prize. The crazy thing is I accidentally found the second stages first for both of them. And just to add some insult, I could find the first stage for one of them and the owner didn't let me claim the prize. Oh well... Quote Link to comment
