newfind4me
Newbie here and wondering if anyone knew what software was compatable with a old Sony Clie PEGS320 I have. I'm new but would like to try paperless if possible. Thanks, newfind4me Quote Link to comment
+bigdog999
Sony Clie uses the Palm format so you can use Cachemate. Obviously try it before you buy it to make sure it works. You could also use a GPX Spinner with either plucker or isilo combination. Quote Link to comment
+EScout
I recommend GSAK to Plucker for cache information from the .gpx file for paperless. Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
Cachemate costs $8.00 to register, but it is well worth it. GSAK to Cachemate is a seamless transition. I use it on a Palm M500. Quote Link to comment
+Joe Smith
i use a clie and I can't think of the model number. b&w with low memory. First I tried the spinner, plucker method and enjoy the layout on the palm. It just took way too long to get the data ready and in the palm. I paid the 8 bucks for cachemate, and it's not bad. Faster bu far. I like plucker, but the speed makes cachemate worthwile. Quote Link to comment
+Z_Statman
I am using the Clie PEG-N760C and CM + GSAK work fine. The PC desktop is at http://www.palmone.com/us/support/downloads/windesk414.html Note that CacheMate 4.1.1 (July 24, 2005) was released to fix a bug that affects the overview display on some older Sony devices - I submitted the "bug" notice. newfind4me
Just to be sure...I could use EITHER cachemate OR GSAK or need both? Thanks for everyone's help Quote Link to comment
+Z_Statman
Just to be sure...I could use EITHER cachemate OR GSAK or need both? Thanks for everyone's help You will need both. CacheMate works on your PDA, whereas GSAK is a "database manager" that can prepare files for transfer and retrieval from a variety of sources. {Clyde, forgive this simple explanation, I know it does much more.} S Quote Link to comment
