Bevanadventurers Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 We are going to Paris for 48hrs and would like to do a cache or to whist we are there - particularly as I have picked up a TB that would like to get out of the country? Does anyone know if there are any there and how do I find them without a postsode or equivalent? Mother Bevanadventurers Quote
briansnat Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Here ya go. To find it I did a keyword search on "paris". Looked for a cache that was actually in Paris, went to that page and did a search for nearest. Quote
Pioneer 'n' Tiff Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Which airport are you flying into? If CDG, recognise that you will loose anything up to 3 hours just getting in and back out of Paris itself. If you look like arriving during the peak hours, make it 5. Quote
tirediron Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 you can always plot your hotel address on Yahoo! maps or similar, get a lat & long and plug that in. Paris is a big, convoluted city.. A 'cache even a mile or two away may be a several hour trip. Good luck!!! Quote

OzGuff Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 It all depends on where you are staying. The cache that brainsnat's search is centered on is a couple of miles to the east of downtown Paris. If you use Who Is She? (GC6612) as your search locus your distances will be from the Louvre. There are a number of caches within walking distance of downtown Paris. Do you know where you are staying?
