+GomezK
What is everyone using to upload geocaching waypoints into their GPS? I currently use EasyGPS, but I read an article " http://gpsinformation.us/vistacolor/etrexvistacolor.html " stating that EasyGPS may not work with the Legend/Vista C. How about a garmin 60cs? Any comments? I'd like to know before I commit to purchase. Any feedback would be helpful. Quote Link to comment
+Tzoid
I use a 60C and GSAK. Works flawlessly. GSAK is shareware ($20), but is worth every cent and more. Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
I also second the recommendation of GSAK. It does everything. It unzips the Pocket Query file, allows you to Export to Cachemate, Export to your mapping program, and facilitates downloading the waypoints to your GPSr. You can use it for free for 21 days before the nag screens start. By that time, you should see how useful it is and will part with the $20.00 easily. Quote Link to comment
Neo_Geo
Lie to EasyGPS! Tell it you have a 60C. It won't know the difference. Quote Link to comment
Delaypat
I like GSAK, but I feel as if it is way too much for what I need...EasyGPS works great and is just what I need.... Quote Link to comment
+overtaxed1
I've used GSAK and NG TOPO! to transfer waypoints, routes, & tracks to and from my Legend C with no problems. Quote Link to comment
+2Dee2Dee
Use GSAK. There is no substitute. Lots of customization to export/load just the pieces of info valuable to you using the various pages in your 60cs. I also use the same filters/queries in GSAK to create another XML file and then load into MapPoint using gpxExchange to display or print useful caching maps. Go paperless and GSAK will create CacheMate, HTML, CSV and almost any other format you might need. Great software and Clyde is very responsive. Worth far more than the $20 registration. +Quoddy
GSAK for my 60cs and also for loading my PDA (via CacheMate)...Can't beat it! Edited August 23, 2005 by Quoddy Quote Link to comment
+Sputnik 57
As Neo Geo says, you can tell EasyGPS that you have a 60C or a 60CS. The program doesn't know about the Legend C, so if you happen to have one of those, you have to tell EasyGPS that you have a 60C. The firmware is the same, so it works just fine. It sounds like you have a 60CS, so no worries. Quote Link to comment
+GomezK
I'll have to give GSAK a try. It's posted all over the forums. Until I learn to master the program I will always have EasyGPS as a back up. Thanks I'll keep searching the forums for more info from users on GSAK. Quote Link to comment
