Category Proposal: Misspelled Signs

Permanent signs only. Not the temporary signs like "Congradulations class of '05" on the local restaurant marquee.

 

My local favorite is at an approach to a small town: "Peddler's liscense required".

Yep. So good, in fact, that it's already a popular locationless cache. We can look forward to seeing it converted over to Waymarking, if the cache owner exercises their "first dibs" right.

Maybe I should have checked locationless before posting this.

 

I haven't logged any locationless caches since it didn't seem like real geocaching, even though I have a "prime point" in my front yard.

I've recently proposed an "unusual signs" category. Would this be a sub category of that?

I pondered about presenting this as an idea, but I knew there were already a loc cache somewhat similar.

I think it makes sense to have subcategories of "Unusual signs" and the existing locationless for "grammatical errors" makes sense for one of those.

 

(I do think it makes more sense for them to be permanent signs, rather than temporary marquee postings.)
