+ElectroQTed
Metroguide Canada 4 does have autorouting capability (US metroguides don't). I use this because it has better detail of small town Canada, cottage country, old railroads (many now railtrails) and even shows several trails that were once roads in forest tracts. danoshimano
I have a Legend C and it is loaded with Topo Canada maps. I do my auto routing with that, both on the computer, and in the field when I need to find my way back home. It works pretty well, with the usual caveats. Obviously, it never really knows about traffic, and sometimes it doesn't know that certain roads are for Jeeps only (like today when it tried to send me off-roading). Otherwise, just load Topo Canada, and let it "auto-route" away! It works fine. Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
You need City Select. Early Versions of Metroguid had routing information. Some people (as above ) report it works, Garmin though doesn't support it as routing in those GPS. Topo does not route, routing with Topo has your GPS use it's Basemap and you get strange results due to the lack of roadway detail. If Topo Canda has routing information included then I'm wrong. +ElectroQTed
As I said, US Metroguide does not support autorouting, but Canada Metroguide does and has better detail than CitySelect FOR CANADA. Quote Link to comment
