+civilised
Is there a way to find how many waypoints are stored in this GPSr ? Thanks civilised Quote Link to comment
danoshimano
I have a Legend and a Legend C and do not know of any way to tell the number of waypoints directly. However, you can find out fairly quickly by downloading to Mapsource. Just hook up the cable, choose download waypoints only, then read the count off the waypoint tab. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
It will hold 500. If you want to see how many you actually have, just download them to EasyGPS and it will tell you how many waypoints were transferred. Quote Link to comment
+civilised
Thanks for the replies, which are helpful. It seems strange though that my mobile, or cell, phone can tell me how much memory is being used, and for what - and yet a comparatively equally sophisticated device cannot. Thanks again civilised Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
There is a place in the main menu part of my eTrex Vista that does tell me how much memory is being used, but I believe that is related to the map portion of the memory. It would be handy if the actual number of waypoints could be known. Quote Link to comment
moonpup
Sounds like us LegendC/VistaC and even the 60's series owners should notify Garmin that this is something we would like to have. Maybe they can add it in the next firmware release or two Quote Link to comment
