+Team Perks
So after running my 60CS via USB for a year with no problem, I added a USB external hard drive. Now, my computer refuses to recognize the drivers for the USB GPS no matter how many times I uninstall/reinstall the drivers, the GPS device, and the new hard drive. To add insult to injury, I can't find the serial cable that came with the 60CS. So, that means...no more caching for me until I can successfully send waypoints and maps to my GPS. I've given up on finding a solution for now, but until I can figure something out I need to get ahold of a serial cable for the device. Anybody have a spare 60CS serial cable they'd be willing to sell? Link to comment
+junglehair
I just bought the 60c recently and only the USB cable was included. There was no serial cable. You could try picking up a USB to Serial cable. Link to comment
+baloo&bd
They are farily cheap at most places that sell Garming GPS's. Any one that would work for the Garmin III or V will work and readily available. In fact, if you do an EBay search on the V or III, you'll find them for around $15. Kermode
What you should be doing is calling garmin and have them walk you through the USB setup. What you describe happened to me and I am very good at solving windows problems but that had me. I gave in called Garmin and within 10 minutes my usb was up and running. Link to comment
