+MafiaBoss
He is a program that will let you keep track of the caches you have attempted. You can enter waypoint name, date, time, weather, even draw a sketch. There are several search options. I have tried it out & it is ok. http://www.freewarepalm.com/database/geocachelogbook.shtml Quote Link to comment
+Terrible Ts
Personally I like Cachemate, but its not free ($8) and it does so much more. You can download gpx files into it (with or without past logs), or LOC files and it lets you catergorize them into different catagories (Found, Not found, Unfiled, Benchmarks and Owned). You can add your own customized catagories. You can have multiple database of caches. When I am traveling I usually create a new database using the city name. That way I still have my hometown caches with me, along with destination caches. It keeps track of logging info, if you enter it. Time stamps on start, and finish. It has a place to enter the things you traded and an area to list travel bugs traded. It has an hint decoder, which makes it a little too easy to decode hints (self control required ). It also can compute a list of nearest caches, like your GPSr does. This comes in handy we we are inside and trying to plan out our hunts. The plugins are great also. There is a mapopolis plugin which allows you to transfer the current, or a group of cache coords to mapopolis. There is a coord format converter and a distance conversion plugin, plus others. The only thing it doesn't do that would be nice, is download any graphic images. So some puzzle caches you can't do from Cachemate. I think that is a limitation of the GPX files, not Cachemate. If you are thinking about a Palm app for geocaching I can heartily recomend Cachemate. Check it out. Sorry, no Pocket PC version. After reading over this post I realized I was starting to preach. Sorry if this sounds too commercial, but I really like Cachemate. JimT Terrible Ts I am not associated with Smittyware except as a satisfied customer. Quote Link to comment

+ritzvin
I LOVE cachemate too. It's really fast to use in the field too (unlike the html software I've tried before switching to cachemate). Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
When I downloaded and installed Cachemate and saw that I could only have a limited number of caches on my "Palmie," I sent in my $8.00 immediately. It is such a great little program, I cannot imagine anyone caching without it. Those $8.00 were the best $8.00 I ever spent on a piece of software! Quote Link to comment
