+ChileHead Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Why do you need to submit earth caches through www.earthcache.org instead of through the normal process? I understand there are different people looking at the submissions, but it seems reasonable that you should be able to submit in the normal manner and have the earth cache people notified when an earth cache is submitted. The problem is that www.earthcache.org doesn't allow for nicely formatted cache listings to be submitted, or to include photos. After submitting a cache and getting it approved, then you can go back and pretty it up. There's also no way to edit a listing while it's in the approval queue, which you could do through the normal geocaching submission process. Thanks.

I had no problem submitting my EarthCaches with links to my pictures with everything properly formatted. It was actually quite painless. Diffrent, but painless.
South Surrey Scavengers Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 I have/had some similar issues with getting Earthcaches listed. I still have an Earthcache that hasn't been transferred into my name so I can't edit it. Also, while it's in the approval process you can't edit it either. Linking photos could be done I guess but you can't put the photos in the same location as the cache page until you can edit it. I have e-mailed Geoaware about these issues to see what can be done to improve the process.
