76cs And The Jumpmaster Icon

Recommended Posts

While looking over my 76CS, I noticed the Jumpmaster Icon under the setup option. I haven't been able to locate any information regarding what its for.

While in the Jumpmaster screen you have several options.

Jump Type: HALO, HAHO, Static

Impact point

drop alt

open alt

forward throw

course to HARP

wind, constant, GOTO HARP, and Auto to DIP

Why doesn't Garmin give out some information. I'm a pilot and this could be useful. Has anyone else noticed anything not published about the 76CS?

I checked with my friends 60C and he doesn't have the Jumpmaster option.

Thanks for any help.

Hmmm.......well,no doubt it has something to do with the barometric/compass functionality because I have a 76c but no jumpmaster screen....

That's all I know......good luck finding out!!

(Hope you know what all the gauges in the cockpit are for though!! )

I have a 60cs and cant seem to find it on mine. is it a firmware upgrade that i missed or is it just not available

It's in the 3.61beta firmware upgrade:

"Added Jumpmaster support under Setup menu."

Hopefully, as a pilot, you never need to use the "jump" part of Jumpmaster...or "impact point" (ouch)!
