+IBcrashen
I just got DSL. [] and am trying firefox, the newest version. When I download a loc or gpx file it does the aspx file thing. It also does it with my other browsers (MYIE2, IE). Anyone else have this problem or solution? Quote Link to comment
javaguy
I've been using Firefox for a while and I love it. I'm pretty new to Geocaching but I haven't had any trouble downloading the .loc files. Are you using GSAK? I just tell it to "open with GSAK" and everything works just fine. Quote Link to comment
+Prime Suspect
You can manually add a mime-type, which should solve the problem. Mozilla has a built-in mime-type editor, but Firefox doesn't (don't know why). However, you can install an xpi that will give Firefox the same mime-editor that Mozilla has: http://gratisdei.com/FF.htm It'll show up in the Tool menu. You'll probably want to add them for both GPX and LOC files. Mime type: application/xml-gpx Description: GPX Document Extension: gpx Mime type: application/xml-loc Description: LOC Document Extension: loc The other options you can set as you wish. For example you can have it defautl to opening the file in an application, or saving it to disk, etc. Quote Link to comment
