+RAC 'N' T-BO
Hello everyone, I hope you can help us. We have recently changed our ISP from NTL dial up to tiscali broadband. While we were using NTL freedom we were able to access the sci.geo.satellite-nav newsgroup through outlook express but since changing to the tiscali we are unable to access it. Can anyone let us know how we can access this newsgroup again as we feel it is one of the better groups. We have tried locating on the tiscali news server but sci.geo.satellite-nav is not listed although 1000's of other titles are. Hope someone can help us. Tim and Rachel Quote Link to comment
+PDOP's
Until you can sort out your ISP problems you can access it through Google Groups Quote Link to comment
+Team DEMP
Most ISPs only allow access to their newsgroup servers when you are on their network. You'll have to find out if your new ISP provides news servers and if so, what's the news server name. You'll then need to create a new account in your news reader program to point to this new server. +Team DEMP
If the following page has the correct info http://www.tiscali.co.uk/help/usenet/oe.html then the news server is news.tiscali.co.uk Create a new newsgroup account with that news server name and download the list of groups. If you don't use Outlook Express, which program do you use? Quote Link to comment
