  1. Thank you. Yes I understand that the Nuvi is designed for in car navigation only. I would like to use the Nuvi to navigate me by road to the general area of the cache. Once near the cache I swap to using a geko 201 to actually locate the geocache. Perhaps I should of explained that in the first place! Tim
  2. Hi there. Is it possible to download the co-ordinates of a cache or multiple caches and input them into a GPS unit namely the Garmin Nuvi. I think they have got to be in .csv format(maybe!?) Any help on how to do this would be great. Tim and Rachel
  3. How would I get in contact with the reviewer from latvia ? Maybe then I may get some joy. Can you help at all please ? Tim and Rachel
  4. Hi all. I hope someone can help us. We own a TB (TBHPWT) Ferdinand The Fire Bear, which we started in the UK. The TB found it's way to Latvia where it was placed in a cache that went on to be not approved so the TB is stuck in it. Is there a way the owner of this cache can appeal against a decision not to approve it? Hope to hear from you all soon Tim and Rachel

  7. Hello everyone, I hope you can help us. We have recently changed our ISP from NTL dial up to tiscali broadband. While we were using NTL freedom we were able to access the sci.geo.satellite-nav newsgroup through outlook express but since changing to the tiscali we are unable to access it. Can anyone let us know how we can access this newsgroup again as we feel it is one of the better groups. We have tried locating on the tiscali news server but sci.geo.satellite-nav is not listed although 1000's of other titles are. Hope someone can help us. Tim and Rachel

  10. I live in the UK and use a Garmin Quest. We are going to the states later this year and want to make sure the unit is set up correctly to work in the US. At the moment it is set up to use WGS84 and OSBG or lon/lat. What settings would I use in the US ? (I will be using Mapsource City Select North America). I hope you can all help me. Thankyou in advance Tim and Rachel

  12. Has anyone with a quest noticed that the antenna has become loose compared to when they bought it. Its just mine doesn't seem as firm now after a few uses and I'm worried it may get looser and drop down. There seems to be 3 (4) positions including closed - these seemed to be very defined when new but as I say have become 'loose with a lot of play' Any ideas ? Tim

  15. Cheers chap. I've only recently upgraded to a Garmin Quest from a Magellan Map 330 so things are very different and I'm still getting used to it. I'll have a look at the thread now. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Tim
