crackerjack91
Newbie question: how do you get a picture that was taken at the cache in the cache log online? Quote Link to comment
+Robespierre
there's a button there to click...I'll have to get back there and look where, but someone will beat me to it. You can put it directly with a log, or in the gallery. Quote Link to comment

gridlox
After logging your find, it will give the option of adding a picture to your post. D-man Quote Link to comment
+BigSpike
I have a similar question to crackerjack91's. On cache pages I have seen pictures inserted into cache descriptions with the text wrapped around just like in a word document. I would like to do this rather than having picture icon below the description. In the form to edit or post a new cache, I have not been able to figure out how to do this. Can anyone help me out? +blindleader
Newbie question: how do you get a picture that was taken at the cache in the cache log online? If a moderator is watching I don't see this one in the FAQ thread. This might be a good time to put this question and a comprehensive answer there. It gets asked a couple times a week. When you submit a log, a link appears in the upper right corner saying [upload image]. When you read a cache page and you are logged in, your logs appear with two links below it. [view/edit logs/images on a separate page] and [upload an image for this log] On cache pages I have seen pictures inserted into cache descriptions with the text wrapped around just like in a word document. I would like to do this rather than having picture icon below the description. You can put html code in your cache description. There are a number of ways to do this. In descending order of preference 1. Find a cache page that does it the way you want it and view the page source. Look for a tag starting with "<img" or 2. Read The quick and dirty guide to bad HTML for your cache page. or 3. Get a book and really learn html properly. Quote Link to comment
gridlox
3. Get a book and really learn html properly. Here's another good source for learning HTML that's online and FREE! HTML Goodies Look on the left of the page and start with the PRIMERS in HTML. Then jump down to the Tutorials for more indepth lessons in basic HTML. It's how I got started. +BigSpike
You have any links to examples? This page for this cache GCEEAE is an example of what I am trying to accomplish. How was the picture inserted and how was the wallpaper attached? Thanks for the help so far. Quote Link to comment
+BigHank
Gridlox, Thanks for the link to HTML Goodies. I have been looking for a few weeks now for something to help put some logic and sense into the fragmented familiarization I have with HTML. That looks like what I need. Hank Quote Link to comment
