avroair
I haven't done Giant Stairs yet, but I did do it before I started geocaching and that one is a pain! Maybe a Palisades group hike is in store. Also, Jonboy mentioned placing some more caches on Breakneck ridge... might be a cool group hike there too. Link to comment
+Tiffany's Slaves
Great job guys on grabbig 15 caches, in my neck of the woods, in spite of the head slave predicting it was not feasible . Wish I was there ... but I was in Harriman exercising the demon of JMB-69 (thanks David). Hope to see everyone soon. Hey that was the CHIEF ASSISTANT who said that! Link to comment

I've got scatttered caches along the Palisades in NJ. Then some more in Tallman (NY) and a good cluster up in Rockland Lake State Park with 8 caches on the bottom half of the large park and 2 caches in the top half of the park. Link to comment

You sure you're not mixing up top and bottom? I don't remember their being 8 caches in the bottom half. Link to comment

Here's what I show for caches in that area. I don't think I've done any so this would represent all available caches... Link to comment

+Team DEMP
Between 8AB Hesiod and F71B JUST towards the middle of the caches is .41 miles in a straight line. Between 8AB Hesiod towards the middle of the map and FA65 Ju$t at the bottom is 1.36 miles in a straight line. Link to comment
+Team DEMP
I emailed you a closeup version with the caches overlayed on Topo. Looks like some caches are along trails above the cliffs and others down below the cliffs along the water. Link to comment
avroair
Cool. Up the cliffs, down the cliffs, up the cliffs, down the cliffs. Can you line up the caches nicely or do we need to keep backtracking.? It is a nice place but most of the area geocachers cleared out the area during last falls picnic there. Can still set it up since MOST OF THE AREA GEOCACHERS don't go on the group hikes in the first place! Link to comment

Supposedly the NJNYTC was having issues getting them out. Does anyone have a Palisades map, even the "old" one? Link to comment

+BMSquared
I might be up for a Palisades run. I have never participated in a group hunt before, but I would like to get back over to the Palisades again. I still need to hit most of the ones along the cliffs. I had a "Wife Malfuntion" over the summer and was not permitted proper time to complete most of them. Are we kicking around dates yet? I didn't see anything that looks definite. Link to comment

avroair
Not decided. Ramapo is also on my shortlist. Palisades is easier to get a POW card since she likes hiking there. Edited October 27, 2004 by avroair Link to comment
