PNWWizard
I'll be travelling to Chicago soon, and was looking for a travel bug hotel near O'Hare but didn't find any. Now I'm looking for caches near my hotel, but I have no idea where the hotel is! I have an address, but no GPS coordinates, even after extensive google searching. Searching geocaching.com for zip code or area code won't help me when I don't know the area. I suspect there's a way to do this, but I'm a newbie! Heeeelp Quote Link to comment

ZackJones
Call the Hotel and ask them for thier zip and then search based upon that If you have any mapping software you could look the address up and find the zip as well. Zack Quote Link to comment
NightPilot
Free Geocoding Service For 18 Countries. Enter an address, and you get the lat/lon. Very useful site. Quote Link to comment
tirediron
You could also post a note in the regional forum and perhaps meet up with a local 'cacher. Quote Link to comment
PNWWizard
Elf looked it up and sent me the coordinates. I'm also convinced I need Streets & Trips and a paid membership to Geocaching.com! Quote Link to comment
