Travel Bug... Um... Bug?

I got a bug today. Logged it into a cache. The bug says it was dropped in the cache, but it is also showing that the status is "in the hands of Motoed"

 

See for yourselves (in case it's a quirky server "cache" issue)

What do I do now?

Interesting indeed. I wish I could offer some help, but will have to leave this up to the pro's. Come on gang, help!

No doubt just an overworked and underloved server. It's Sunday after all and thus a wonder we can get onto the site at all.

 

Give it a few hours (a day?), then if it's still haywire, you may want to contact TPTB.

Ummm... Who do I contact? The Bug is still there.... The server bug that is.

You could try this:

 

1. Grab the TB if it's not already in your inventory

2. Delete the cache log entry in which you dropped it.

3. Drop it once more.

 

I wouldn't guarantee that it works, but it can hardly make things worse.

The Parents Travel Bug does show up in the Travel Bug history of the cache, but it is still showing as being in the hands of motoed. I would try what Haraldn said and delete your log and redo it. The server gets overloaded sometimes and logs don't always "take". Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

I went in and added a note to the cache and dropped the bug again and this time it took. I noticed that some other bugs I had my eye on are in the hands of a user, but when you view the cache they were in... it says they are still there.

 

Kinda frustrating for someone who views a cache and tries to go "after" a certain bug and it's actually in someone's hands.

 

For instance: This cache... shows three bugs, but I have one and someone else has the Mini one.

 

Note: (Ok. the dudley one is my fault, I haven't logged it yet. I'll have to do it in the morning when I get to work)
