Logging Trig Points

Hi all,

 

How do you log a UK Trigpoint? All I seem to be able to find on the gc.com website is US benchmarking, which is different!

Yes sallya is right go to The trigpoint page which is a sister site to G:UK. You will need to register and You can use your caching name if you want.

You will need to provide evidence of your trigpoint find and this is done at the regular trigpointers meetings. Bring your trigpoint pillars along with you so your logs can be verified. You can also take the opportunity to exchange your pillars with other trigpointers.

whens the next meeting paul? I have a back garden full of them :o

 

might be an idea to swap them for the next one you find, and see how far they travel

Don't forget the aerosol can of brightly colured paint. "I've logged this trig-point" cards tend to blow away but a tastfully sprayed on note is always a pleasure to find.

I prised off the plate and the triangulation brass off the top

That's why my new LR map is wrong.. it says Westminster Bridge is 2 miles northwest of Hartley Wintney!
