+1NatureMom
Happy Thursday! Is there a way to map out all of the caches along our vacation route? Say along I-95 South covering several states? Without pulling up each state individually & zooming in to I-95. Thank you Leslie Quote Link to comment
+Sputnik 57
Since you are a premium member, you can download cache information in gpx format from a pocket query, and then use software like Geocaching Swiss Army Knife to sort it. GSAK lets you sort for all caches within x miles of a line from a to b (or from a to b to c to d), etc. It takes a little work to learn it, but it works great. Here's the site GSAK Happy caching! +Shop99er
I have a Magellan Sprot Trak Map, and use Map Send Topo for exactly what you're wanting to do. If you have the correct GPSr, it's real easy to learn and use. Quote Link to comment
+PDOP's
As Sputnik 57 has said you can use pocket queries and GSAK to get all the caches within a set distance of a route. You can also export the caches from GSAK into MS Streets and Trips to view them on a map. There are some pitfalls to avoid in this process which have been discussed in prevoius topics. If you do a search of the forums for "Streets and Trips" you'll find some good instructions. (the search period defaults to the last 30 days so be sure to change the parameters to search back six months or more) Quote Link to comment
