huntley
I am a relative newbie on GPS, but have more or less mastered most of the functions in my Garmin Etrex Legend. I am trying to find out if there is any public domain software that will allow me to play back my walks or biking GPS tracks when I am at home. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Many thanks Huntley Quote Link to comment
+Scooter Geek
I am trying to find out if there is any public domain software that will allow me to play back my walks or biking GPS tracks when I am at home. TopoFusion (http://www.topofusion.com) will do that; it is shareware. The trial/free version splashes "DEMO" across some of the images. Quote Link to comment
+JeepCachr
USA photomaps will show your tracks, I don't think it will play them back though. Quote Link to comment
+GOT GPS?
G7ToWin.exe and Street Atlas will work. It will work with Versions of Street Atlas up to Version 8. Street Atlas has a play back feature in it at different speeds. Quote Link to comment
+JeepCachr
Expert GPS will also show your tracks on topo or satelite photos or your own scanned maps. Its free to try the full functionality but pay to keep using after 30 days. Quote Link to comment
Rubbertoe
I still use USA PhotoMaps for all of my day-to-day stuff, but when I want to make people go "gee whiz" when they are watching me on the PC, I run a saved track through TopoFusion and let them gawk as my little track moves around the map. (However, I'm not sure TopoFusion is worth the $40, for me.) Quote Link to comment
