pirlbeck
I currently have a 76S and I find the display very hard to read at times. I have tried setting the contrast differently with very little improvement. I was wondering if upgrading to the color display of a 76CS would help me.........anybody want to share their experiences or opinions. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Hankhan
The color display on my 76cs is very readable - color makes a huge difference to my old eyes. Quote Link to comment
Vlad
i have a 76s and know of what you speak - the display is especially poor in low light levels the new 60 and 76 color displays are amazingly easy to view - primarily under two conditions - the first is full-on sunlight shining directly on the screen (amazingly clear and bright - very easy to read) and secondly with the backlight on. when the backlight is off and the sun is not directly on the screen you might find the screen somewhat dark due to your eyes being adapted to the very bright ambient conditions. go see one - they're amazing - don't try to hide it from the sun - have the sun shine right on the screen - you'll see... <pun intended> Quote Link to comment
+Olar
Just got my 76c today. I am extremely impressed with the display quality. Yes the color does make it a lot easier to view and is very bifocal friendly. I particularly like the option to color the active track. Makes it stand right out as compared to the fine dotted line that my "old" GPS V displayed. You definitely would not be disappointed. Cheers, Olar Quote Link to comment
capt caper
I had two 76S's. The 76CS,60C,etc. display is the best I've seen not to mention the battery time. Buy it. The only thing I don't like is it records way two many track points on auto. The 76S did a much better job. Quote Link to comment
