Logging A Visit Error

While trying to input a log entry after visiting a cache, an error occours each attempt to post the entry. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong ?

What is the error? Sometimes the site has errors and displays some obscure (to non-programmer) pages. Is that what you are seeing? If so, try again a little later.

 

If it's something else, what's the specific error message you are seeing?

You're not doing anything wrong. The servers usually get overloaded on Saturday and Sunday nights from everyone trying to log caches they found over the weekend. Just wait a while and try again.

Tried to log visit again early this morning. When I hit "submit" the following statement appears: "There were errors in your submission".

Usually when it says that, it is because you forgot to select "Found, Not Found, etc." from the menu at the top right hand corner of the screen. In fact, on the log page, that's the only reason I can think of right off hand as to why that would happen. I don't know what would happen if you are not logged in and try to log a find.

 

You will find when you go to submit a cache someday that there are a whole lot of things you can forget to enter which will cause "errors" in your submission.

I had registered my profile but when I checked today, it did say that that I was not. Re-registered and everything worked OK. Thanks for the assistance.

I have been waiting for my validation email for a few days now... When i originally signed up i had the wrong email address but than i went in and fixed it and still no validation.... any ideas on this?
