sidewallwolf
TBG8T4. Is this travel bug a bit dodgy? I would have thought that it shouldn't leave the country. Like to see everyone elses thoughts. Jamie. Link to comment
AJK
US customs would be very unhappy about this (possible non-native species, diseases, bugs) - there should be a note on the bug's label Link to comment
+Naefearjustbeer
If it were ever to visit amsterdam you could get in trouble for germinating the seeds that have come out of it Link to comment

+The Rouses
Pretty confident that some countries would be very unhappy...it would be taken off you if you declared it entering New Zealand for example..maybe it should be kept within the UK only... +Naefearjustbeer
I know someone who got married in kenya and they were not allowed to take a sprig of dried heather over to wear as a button hole. So I dont think there will be much chance of taking seeds to random plants over with you! Link to comment
+Haggis Hunter
I have had to take Landrovers to Canada in the past. They had to have every bit of mud and dirt removed from them. They were then inspected by a Canadian official before they were allowed onto the ship. So I don't think that type of bug is a good idea. I have also noted that the first seeds are Nicotinae seeds. These seeds are what they sound like NICOTINE. They are a tobacco plant which comes from America. So perhaps i'm being a bit harsh but I don't think these are the type of seeds that someone may want to plant in their back garden. Just so that they can get a photo of an unknown plant, and put it on the site. Link to comment
sidewallwolf
I have emailed Vermin United (the owner of the TB) and he has now updated the details. There shouldn't now be any confusion over this. I will close the thread as well Jamie. Edited April 23, 2004 by sidewallwolf Link to comment
