+user13371
My 9-year-old nephew really wants a GPS. His dad (my brother-in-law) told him he can have one if buys it with his own money -- and he told me NOT to give one as a gift. At the rate he's saving, he'll be able to afford an eTrex or Gecko by the time he gets out of college Anyone have a really cheap used one? Quote Link to comment
+Riddlers
Guess you will just have to take him with you when you go out and let him share yours. Quote Link to comment
+Oat
Check out the display model eTrex's at Wal Mart. I got one for $60 in perfect condition and downloaded the manual here. Edited April 17, 2004 by Oat Quote Link to comment
+95_Camaro_Couple
Would your brother-in-law allow you to *loan* your nephew the money? It would be a great lesson in responsibility, both at having a new GPS to take care of and the need to work at paying you back. Just a thought. I'm not saying go out and buy a brand new GPS for the boy, since there are some great deals out there to be had on good, used models. Good luck! Paula Quote Link to comment
