New England n00b
Now that the weather is getting warmer I've been giving some thought to creating a cache. Not saying that I would do this, BUT: Would it be "ok" to create a cache that says something to the effect of: 1) Do cache GCxxxx. 2) From there, go to waypoint [waypoint]. (this would begin 'my' cache). I don't know if what I am saying makes sense, but if it does, opinions? Again, right now it is rhetorical only... We'll see what is available for space in the spring. Thank you! (edited for spleling) Edited March 15, 2004 by New England n00b Quote Link to comment
briansnat
It's been done. I'd make sure it was your own cache if you try it...or at least the owner of the the cache says its OK. One thing I've seen is partial coordinates left in other caches...so you have to do 3-4, or more caches to get the coordinates to another. Quote Link to comment
New England n00b
Thanks, briansnat. I think that I'd have to use someone elses, as this would be my first placed cache. Dunno. Probably a 3/3 or less, so i don't think I'd wanna leech off of more than one existing cache... more like an extension to one that is already around. Maybe add a 1/2 mile or so (one way). Thanks again. Quote Link to comment
Ed Rad
Check out this cache: Old Plank Road Trail The owner used a bunch of existing caches to create this. Edited March 16, 2004 by Geogeek65 Quote Link to comment
maleki
A similar idea to this one: Ven Diagrams This one has to be one of my favorite caches ever because of all the work that went into completing it. Really learned a lot about coordinates, distances and other geo principles trying to solve this one. It's been around for well over a year in the Chicago area and only logged 8 times.
