Steak N Eggs
Does anyone out there in CACHELAND use an IPAQ PDA with an add on gps receiver? If so what brand is it and what software do you use? Quote Link to comment
+JeepCachr
I ordered a Fortuna Bluetooth GPS receiver on Friday to use with my Ipaq. I'm anxious to give it a whirl. My Ipaq has bluetooth built in. Quote Link to comment
+scarng
I just got my BT-308 by GlobaSat. It is NMEA 0183 standard. Works great with Mapopolis Software and GPSPilot Compass program on my Palm Tungsten T3. I"m new to geocaching, a friend introduced me early this month. I'm eager to get started. He has the sport trax with 2mb memory. I purchase the BT-308 to use with the TT3. I have two SD Cards totaling a 1 GB worth of storage space. What I need to find is how to get a wavpoint into the software to help me locate caches. Quote Link to comment
+UncleRMC
I used to us the Pocket CoPilot GPS Jacket (same as Navman Jacket) which the ipaq slides into like an CF Expansion Pack. The software that came with it was not good for Geocaching so I replaced it with Mapopolis. All past tense as battery life was not good. I replaced the iPaq with a Magellan Meridian Gold and use the iPaq only for reading .gpx files and making field notes using GPXsonar. Quote Link to comment
