Last Lap Gang Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 It sounds like all caches are in place now. It will be a great event. There are caches specific to this event from one end of the state to the other. The event starts 4/1/04 so get on the list for your passport today. Over 40 cachers are already signed up to do the CAM already!!! Quote
Accident Prone Hiker Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 Well, my usual cache crew and I did 5 CAM caches on Saturday. We drove down from PA, and found Western Maryland (First to Find), Baltimore County (First to Find), Cecil County, Ocean City, and Eastern Shore. We found problems with 2 CAM caches. First, we attempted Frederick County, and came up empty. 4 of us searched the area for over an hour, and came up empty....We even resorted to the cheat and it didn't help. Second, the Cecil County cache was missing its color and number clues. A few people found this one before us. Maybe someone walked off with it? Anyway, this was a fun 28-hour road trip from PA. We'll have to get back to hit the other 5. Quote
Team OUTSID4EVR Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 I know the Cecil County cache is missing the color/number clue. For some reason I did not inform the hider of the code in time to get it added. THE DAM TROLLS have told me that they will be adding it soon. Just send them an e-mail and they will give you the information. As for Frederick County, it has been found at least once. Simulatmore has found all 10 caches and reported that they are in good shape. OUTSID4EVR Quote
DeskJocky Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 As for Frederick County, it has been found at least once. Simulatmore has found all 10 caches and reported that they are in good shape. OUTSID4EVR Lies! Lies! Lies! That cache can't be there! We searched far and wide for that dang thing. I'll blame it on the cold weather and the rain... I will return. Quote
robert Posted April 5, 2004 Author Posted April 5, 2004 If you use the hint and don't limit yourself to a small area you can find it. Just remember the hint... Both Simulatmore and THE DAM TROLLS have found it so far. Coords may be a bit off but the cache IS there. GOOD LUCK! Quote
robert Posted April 7, 2004 Author Posted April 7, 2004 Cache Across Maryland is crankin' pretty hard! Getting lots of people out there spanning the state. If you'd like to participate, check out GCHX89 Quote
Accident Prone Hiker Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 It sounds to me like the coords are off, and the cache owner should get a better reading, and update them. Quote
Shady Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 (edited) OK - I have revised coordinates for the "2004 CAM - Frederick County" cache. Had better GPS reception today... Email me at mikeman20878@yahoo.com for the updated coords. M- Edited April 9, 2004 by Team Shadyside Quote
robert Posted May 10, 2004 Author Posted May 10, 2004 Well, it's over! This was such an awesome event, from finding all 10 caches to the final event cache. Lots of new faces and lots of challenging hides. Can't wait 'til next year. Quote
