+Will+Bill Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 Ok, this time, I DID do a search. I is there a way to add your AIM screen name to your profile, such as in Jermey's, that shows if you are online? He did it with ICQ, however. Quote
TimSkells Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 Yea that would be helpful. my sn for aol/aim is the same as it is here ALgeocacher Quote
+ICQ Cache Crew Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 Well, I have some good news and some bad news for you:) I believe since Jeremy is the like founder/owner that's why he can put his ICQ online status up in the top part of his page all nice and neat.... but.. here's what you can do.... You can put AIM status on your profile page something like this.... won't have it on here very long but just wanted to show you what it would look like if you were interested. There were different options when you create it. ICQLOVE profile page The instructions for different messengers are here: AIM messenger Yahoo Messenger ICQ Messenger As far as I know MSN messenger does not have a way to do this type of thing yet. I know html so if anyone has problems with putting it on your profile just message me on yahoo and I'd be happy to help you. Quote
+Will+Bill Posted January 4, 2004 Author Posted January 4, 2004 Could somebody please post the HTML code here? Quote
+TeamK-9 Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 (edited) You have to go to the site and get it to generate specifically how you want it and with you screen name. Someone just posting the code here wouldn't work... EDIT: Actually, someone might be able to post the code, but you'd have to edit it a little bit probably. You're best off going to the site and get it generated there... Edited January 4, 2004 by TeamK-9 Quote
TimSkells Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 That code still says your on even when your not. I just resorted to putting my sn type into my profile Quote
+Mr. 0 Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 AL, I seem to be getting the same thing. It saying you're online when you're not. I'm messing with it though. It may not update your status instantly. Quote
+sept1c_tank Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 I just did it for Yahoo IM and it works fine: My Profile. Quote
+sept1c_tank Posted January 8, 2004 Posted January 8, 2004 A few days ago, I inserted a button linking Yahoo IM into my profile page. It worked just fine for a couple of days, but now it always show me as off line. Just wondering if gc.com frowns on this for some reason and has disabled it? Quote
