+Kirklin cachers
I need help loading way point info into my Sony pda. I get lost trying to understand computer language. I'm looking for someone to tell me how to get it done. Quote Link to comment
+GeckoGeek
There are two camps of thought. Some prefer a couple of programs call Spinner and Plucker to capture the web pages and put them on your Palm (or in this case, Sony) The others like myself prefer CacheMate. You can try for free, $7 to register. I think you'll find it a simpler process. Quote Link to comment
+Peztone
I too am a beffudled newbie, but Cachemate has already won me over, read the instructions, it has a convertion program included to transfer waypoints downloaded from here into cachemate format, and then onto your PDA, it's invaluable. +workerofwood
I'm using CacheMate as well in my Clie, and I also use a program called Vikao for Palm 1.2. This allows me to easily copy anything from a web page and drop it into the Clie (fewer steps than Plucker... just copy the text you want and click a desktop icon to store it for your next sync). +Amazon Annie
Thanks workerofwood, I downloaded Vikao - neat program and certainly easier than Plucker. Now i can grab a fast map off Mapquest or whatever before I head out the door. Quote Link to comment
