+Gretel-
The cache listings on geocaching.com have a link to mapquest with the latitude and longitude plotted instead of an address. How can I do that going right at mapquest? Can I? thanks. Quote Link to comment

How can I do that going right at mapquest? Can I? thanks. I don't think MapQuest has an interface to support that. It can be done by inserting the information directly into the URL (which is how geocaching.com does it), but that's not a simple matter. Try Rand McNally maps. You can enter a set of coordinates right in the address field. Use a negative sign to indicate south or west. Quote Link to comment
+Doc-Dean
Wow! Its not often I get to trump Prime Suspect! Mapquest - Long/Lat Quote Link to comment

+Kewaneh & Shark
I know you used to be able to enter Lat/Long coordinates into MapQuest, but I tried a few nights ago and the link was gone. I searched for about a half hour on the site before I gave up and went to TopoZone. It can't give driving directions to a location, but it can show you on a map where the location is. +Prime Suspect
The MapQuest page mentioned above is obsolete. That's why it's not possible to reach it from anywhere within MapQuest. There's no guarantee it will continue to work (or even exist) in the future. Quote Link to comment

+Prime Suspect
If you'll notice, while the page is still there (for now), they've removed all support for it. It's impossible to navagate to it. Quote Link to comment
sue-e
Not only have they removed the lat/long feature -- they've removed the aerial photos they used to have. I verifed this with their support people and let 'em know that it's a step backward. I wonder if they were asked to remove the photo displays due to heightened security... Quote Link to comment
