Fritz_Monroe
I tried to get the FTF for a new cache in my area. I was beat to it probably by less than an hour. The FTF hasn't yet posted his log. I want to put mine in, but I don't want to infringe on his "right" to post his first. After all, he found it first. What's the etiquette here? If I put my log on, would his show up before mine? Should I just wait until he posts? What the courteous thing to do here? F_M Quote Link to comment
gallahad
Just go ahead and log your find. It's not necessary to make any reference to the FTF circumstances. When the FTF cacher gets around to logging his/her find the log will be self explanatory. Quote Link to comment
Stunod
Sometimes you will see a log like this: Not FTF (first to find), but FTL (first to log)....so-and-so beat me to it by one hour Edited December 23, 2003 by Stunod Quote Link to comment
robert
Fritz: I told you that RATTRAP was tricky! You gotta give him grief about that FLEXIBLE cache. Quote Link to comment
Fritz_Monroe
Yep, he beat me by a couple hours. As for the log, I checked back right after posting this and he put his log in, so this just answers my questions for next time. F_M Quote Link to comment
robert
Yeah, just add it in. He'll "mark his territory" when he posts, noting he was FTF. No harm, no foul. Quote Link to comment
