+Mule Ears
Here in Arizona, Team Snaptek runs a handy Geocaching site at this URL: http://www.azgeocaching.com/ They compile all sorts of stats, and make available cache coordinates, names and descriptions in a variety of formats. One of the complaints of the geo-dissidents seems to be that this sort of data is not available. If that's so, how does Snaptek do it? --Scott (of Mule Ears) Link to comment
+jeff35080
The data is available from the gc.com web site. It would be no problem to scrape data, or even to get data from a pocket query. The real question is if we are allowed to scrape data or use data from pocket queries. I imagine if you did the data mining very slowly you would never get caught. I you used data from a pocket query you may be violating the license agreements. Either way seems to be a slippery slope. Link to comment
+The Cheeseheads
You could so something like this where the stats are collected and hand entered by whoever cares to have them there. I suspect that this thread should probably be moved out of the GC.com forum though... Link to comment
