MrPeabody
I went to a friend's house last night for dinner and brought by GPS along as a conversation piece. As I told them about Geocaching, they got so excited, I just had to let them give it a go. So, in the spirit of Christmas, I gave them my GPS for a few weeks, along with some printouts of local cahes and a few URLs to visit. Well, now I am GPS-less and I was wondering if anyone out there has a spare GPS they would be willing to lend me for a short while? I live in the Vancouver area and would be most appreciative! +Pharmadude
I have someone wanting to borrow mine over Christmas, too. However that will probably be my first chance in many moons to get out and do some geocaching, so I'm reluctant to give it up! Quote Link to comment
Team Tigger International
Think of this as a chance to 'test drive' one of the newer models available in stores. Quote Link to comment
canadazuuk
Just sold my last Garmin on eBay, but I have three Magellans still, do you want to use a Map 330? If you're working near Annacis Island, let me know. Quote Link to comment
RobertM
Hi Mr.Peabody, You could always use topo maps a compass, etc. I've heard a number of guys have used this method when their GPSes are in for repairs or they are new and haven't got one yet. +MrPeabody
do you want to use a Map 330? Sure. If it gets satellite signal, I'd give it a go. I think I saw your RSVP on the Belcarra meet... I could give it back to you then. Quote Link to comment
canadazuuk
IF it gets signal? ha ha ha ha ha ha (not to be mistaken with 'la la la la la la') Receives better than the Garmin Vista I used to own. It's fully loaded with maps too... Quote Link to comment

MrPeabody
Zuuk came through with a Magellan 330 for me to try out. I've never tried anything but a Garmin, so I'm interested to see how it compares. So far it looks like a pretty nice unit! Quote Link to comment
