BeDoggy Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 Was just at London drugs. Basic etrex yellow on sale at 129.99. That's 70 bucks off, folks Quote
+MrPeabody Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 Just curious though... why would you buy a yellow eTrex? While they still have the ability to track a satellite or 3, they have been outdated by many models. Admittedly the prices are a little higher, but you could get a Geko 201 for about $30 more than that, which has quite a few more features. Quote

Nothing wrong with a yellow E-trex -- tons of caches have been found with them. If someone is on a tight budget, it's a pretty good deal. Thanks for letting us know about this BeDoggy. ***** Geo 33B 36 Edit: added thanks Edited December 10, 2003 by Jomarac5 Quote
+Gorak Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 Actually, if I had kids, which thankfully I don't, they would be just the right price to get one or two for the rugrats to use while caching. __________ Gorak Geo 34 Quote

+Team GPSaxophone Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 Target had them on special last week for $80 (Too bad that's U.S., eh?) Quote

Oh, I don't think there is anything wrong with them, per se. In fact, I was introduced to geocaching on one of those little fellers. I'm just thinking that for a few extra dollars, it might be worth getting a more capable unit. No reason to buy an old, outdated model when the new, shiny one is almost the same price. Quote
+Gargoyle Posted December 11, 2003 Posted December 11, 2003 For $129 you can get yourself a yellow magellan sportrak at Amazon.com. Then send in the $30 rebate... that is $99 for a better gps and an inexpensive introduction into Magellans. Just a thought Quote
