+family_act
I am involved in road rallys and am wondering if anyone has knowledge trapping GPS information when connected to a laptop to do calculations of time, speed, distance, and other items directed to road rallys. I have a Garmin GPS V. Thanks, Don Quote Link to comment

I have a Garmin GPS V. Thanks, Don Don you should have received Mapsource & City Select with your GPS V. If you use it on your laptop for displaying real-time navigating you can display in real-time all the info that you require as well as creating a permanent track record as you go. Another alternative is using Microsoft Streets & Trips 2004 on your laptop although you cannot record track data. However you do have it all displayed and recorded on your V for downloading later. +GOT GPS?
That stuff is in the tracklogs, when you download them to Mapsource on the laptop. Autorouting via GPS V, or Laptop, will give some info too, like how long it wil take you to find each segment on the road rally. Edited December 1, 2003 by GOT GPS? Quote Link to comment
