johnz16
I need to find a cable to connect my E-Trex Legend to my HP Ipaq 4155. I would prefer one that can power both the GPSr and the PDA through my cig lighter in my car. Any help would be appreciated. John Quote Link to comment
mtnmojo
I just ordered a cable for my iPaq 2215 and Garmin etrex from http://www.pc-mobile.net/gps.htm Not sure if they have a cable for the 4155 but it's worth a look. Joel Quote Link to comment
+Sidewinder_6
I don't know if this cable will work on the Ipaq 4155 but it works on a number of models that the 4155's autosync cable is compatible with. I wrote the company to ask them. If they say that it will work, I am going to buy it for my 4155. http://www.gpscity.com/gps/brados/05124.3....ge-ipaqcig.html Quote Link to comment

+Sidewinder_6
You had better luck than I did! I email them three times and got no response - at least they answer the phone though! I ordered mine today. I am glad I was able to help. Quote Link to comment

+-radar-
Hello Im interested in how you are using the etrex/ipaq. Are you using the GPSr to provide position information to the ipaq in the same way as using a GPS sleeve would do?? If so that's great because I am hoping to buy an ipaq and hook up my yellow etrex to use as in car navigation Or are you just swapping waypoint information back and forth? thanks RADAR2001 Quote Link to comment
johnz16
That's exactly how I'm using it. I plan to use it for navigation in my car with Tomtom navigator. Quote Link to comment
+-radar-
excellent! Is it possible to buy tomtom maps without having to buy their gps receiver too? I have only found the receiver and maps bundled. cheers radar2001 Quote Link to comment
