+Toes
I posted my new cache April 3rd at around 10 am and still no approval. I thought it was supposed to take 24 to 48 hours. This is my first cache I've hidden so don't know what to expect. I tracked out in the pouring rain on thursday at the crack of dawn to be sure it would be listed by Saturday morning and it's not. Guess I'm just dissapointed. If anybody knows how long this usually takes please respond. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
+Egnix
Keep in mind that approvals are done by a group of volunteers. Also, with Spring just arriving, there are a lot of new caches getting placed lately. I wouldn't be suprised by delays this time of year. Quote Link to comment
+Lazyboy & Mitey Mite
Are you in the northwest? If so it's usually longer than 48 hours these days as they've lost a couple of approvers. What has been happening is approvers from other parts of the country have been checking in and picking up the slack. It's obvious that we need some help here. I suggest anyone that is willing offer to help out. Not sure if help is really wanted, but offering isn't a bad idea. Quote Link to comment
+Toes
Yes, I am located in Oregon. Okay I just wanted to make sure that this was the norm. Maybe when I have been into this awhile and understand it a lot more then I will be happy to volunteer! Just want to make sure I know what I'm doing. Thanks so much for your input! OlyHippy
Go to the "my cache" section and bring up the archive copy of the cache. You can take that link and put it in your regions discussion board and see if people are interested in running it before it becomes official on the main site. It doesn't count as an official cache but some people may enjoy a chance to preview it before it goes public. +The Leprechauns
Thanks, OlyHippy, for demonstrating that a link to a cache that hasn't been approved yet will take the reader to the "hide and seek a cache" page. Nicely done. x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x I was formerly employed by the Department of Redundancy Department, but I don't work there anymore. Quote Link to comment
