SPIN360
I had recently logged a cache as not found, but the cache was missing. The owner of the cache had replaced the lost cache and now I want to go back and find it. How would I go back and mark it as found? Would I delete the first post and then mark it as found or leave it and log a second visit as found? Quote Link to comment
+jeff35080
Leave the original NF then post a Found once you find it to preserve the history of the cache log. Cheers! Jeff http://www.StarsFellOnAlabama.com http://www.NotAChance.com If you hide it, they will come.... Quote Link to comment
+Thack Pack
I'd log it again as "found" and leave your original "not found" post. In your second note you can mention the fact that you missed it the first time because it was missing. Quote Link to comment
+Desert_Warrior
Actually, either would work. It is up to you. And I commend you for posting a not-found log! Most people seem to not post a not-found. Some don't even post at all, found or not. It is all a matter of what you want to see on your profile page. If seeing the non-found icon bothers you, delete it. If it does not bother you, then leave it. Very often, the not-found stories are much more interesting than the found ones. Like the guy that got chaised away by the wild boar before he ever opened the cache. Good luck.... Mike. Desert_Warrior (aka KD9KC). El Paso, Texas. Citizens of this land may own guns. +Desert_Warrior
This is from a thread in the ham radio section, but it is a copy of a log - not found! Hope you don't break a rib laughing! The wild boar. Enjoy it! Mike. Desert_Warrior (aka KD9KC). El Paso, Texas. Citizens of this land may own guns. Not to threaten their neighbors, but to ensure themselves of liberty and freedom. +briansnat
Even better, read my logs on this cache. "You can't make a man by standing a sheep on his hind legs. But by standing a flock of sheep in that position, you can make a crowd of men" - Max Beerbohm Quote Link to comment
