How Many Active Members?

I think it's cool that 173 countries now have caches hidden in them. I'm curious though;

 

How many active members does geocaching.com have right now? Both Premium and non-Premium combined?

 

A markwell to that information will be just as appreciated as the actual answer. I couldn't find a link that would indicate how large the population really is!

And how many members are from what countries? And how many members/caches per country's square area? And how many members/caches per capita?

 

Some kind of a stats page similar to Seti@home's stats page would be cool.

well, according the the lackey prime, there are around 120,000 people logging onto the site. he didn't say how many were paying, and as he's not a public company, it's his privilage not to!

utah has the most caches per capita, and washington state looked (at the time we looked) like it had the most caches. texas was not far behind, but not many of those are down where i am.

i am a reporter, was working on a story.
