Log a cache I went to before GPS'ing?

There are a lot of folks hanging around here that claim to have bagged their 1st 100 without ever using a GPS, or GPSr, or whatever they call them thingies.

I think you would be safe to log it but if your near bye then take a pic and post it.

Hoovman,

How the heck did you find this cache? It doesn't show up within my first 100 or any for that matter. The only way I can find it is my name. I don't get why it doesn't show up on any of my lists. Maybe because its dated 1/1/1968? Could that have anything to do with it anyone? The zip I use is 48178 and its not anywhere to be found.

Let me know how you found the cache page hoovman because this is driving me nuts.

He's right. Seems like Buxley's shows many that don't show up on searches here icon_frown.gif

I logged this virtual without specifically going there with my GPS. I had visited it dozens of times before I logged it and several times since. There were no specific questions to answer, so I had no qualms about logging it. The cache owner didn't seem to

mind.

Jeremy,

Do you have any idea why this cache doesn't show up when you do a zip code search on it? It does show up on the map when I search for it but just not a zip or coord search. I would have never know about this one if not for this thread. Rather curious because I'm wondering if there are others I along with others are missing out on.

Come on, are numbers that important? If you want to log a spot, don't you think you should go after you know it is a virtual location? Having been there before and logging it is lame beyond words.

For example, this cache is about a mile from my parents' house in New Mexico. I have been by it hundreds of times. I know exactly what it is. But I haven't visited since I began geocaching, so I haven't logged it. Next time I am there, I will log it.

I guess it's a matter of basic honesty. If it doesn't bother you to log something without actually visiting it, then by all means go right ahead. I wouldn't feel right about it, so I won't do it.
